Ultrasound therapy used in physical therapy is a remedy for musculoskeletal disorders, rheumatic pains, degeneration. PhysioGo 201A device was created based on the experience of physical therapists and the needs of patients seeking non-invasive, effective therapeutic treatments. The device works with ultrasound heads GS-4 (4-cm2 area) and GS-1 (1-cm2 area) generating ultrasound waves of 1 MHz and 3.5 MHz. This allows the treatment of shallowly located tissues and tendons (using the frequency of 3.5 MHz) and deeply located diseases (frequency of 1 MHz). The unit can operate in continuous or pulsed emission mode.
Moreover, the therapist has the option of performing phonophoresis treatment – using a coupling gel with the active substance in it, which makes the treatment more effective.
PhysioGo 201A isa lightweight device that, thanks to a dedicated transport-bag, can be safely moved in between treatment facilities. The special ASTAR bag has been designed to safely transport the device with its parts and accesories.
In addition, a PhysioGo 201A version has been also equipped with a battery enabling up to 8 hours of operation without an additional energy source.

PhysioGo 201A allows to conduct therapy in manual and program mode. Regardless of the mode selected, the device monitors the emitted power during the procedure and controls the contact quality of the head’s forehead to the patient’s body. PhysioGo 201A comply with the requirements of the Medical Device Directive. The device is therefore not only an effective, but also a safe tool for conducting ultrasound therapy.
The Self-Test procedure implemented in the PhysioGo 201A enables an ongoing control of the equipment’s performance status each time it is switched on. When it is completed, the screen displays information about the accessories that are connected and ready for use – in this case the ultrasound heads.
The devices from the PhysioGo family have a 7-inch colour display with a touch panel, which significantly increases the comfort of its operation. The device is elegant and relatively small despite the use of advanced technical solutions.

During therapy, the devices monitor quality of the contact between the ultrasound head and the patient’s body. When there is no contact, the treatment timer is interrupted. Only the effective time of ultrasound therapy is counted.
In addition, the devices are adapted to perform combination therapy. It is a combination of simultaneous electrotherapy and ultrasound therapy. The design od PhysioGo 201A allows for an easy connection of any ASTAR electrotherapy unit.
PhysioGo 200A software has a rich treatment encyclopaedia, which visually and descriptively presents the methodology of treatments for individual disease entities. The simplified device operation, as many as 58 predefined treatment programs and 50 user-defined programs makes these devices optimal tools for physiotherapists.
The user can also create a list of favourite programs from the most frequently used built-in programs and give their own names to the user’s saved program list.
