Benefits for the physiotherapist

Extensive therapeutic possibilities

Tecaris+ is compatible with electrodes of various properties, shapes and sizes. This makes it possible to adapt them to the needs of the patient and the size of the area undergoing therapy. The specific shapes of the electrodes make it easier to target hard-to-reach places.

Passive electrodes are available in two forms – flat and cylindrical. Flat electrodes (24×16 cm and 32×23 cm in size) are flexible and durable, which allows them to be easily adjusted to the patient’s body. They can be wrapped around the limbs, placed on the back or stomach. A polyester layer covering the edges of the electrodes protects the patient from abrasion and ensures the safety of the treatment.

The cylindrical electrode can be held by the patient in their hand during kinesiotherapy. This makes it easier to combine TECAR therapy with exercises. Such a combination provides effective stimulation of tissues with radiofrequency current during active movement. This method supports the regeneration process and accelerates rehabilitation. Integration of exercise therapy with TECAR increases the effectiveness of treatment.

Wide range of applications

The Tecaris+ device offers a wide range of therapeutic options. The device can be used for physiotherapy of patients in orthopedics, neurology, rheumatology, sports medicine and aesthetic medicine, among others. It is effective in relieving the effects of musculoskeletal injuries, supporting tissue regeneration and providing pain relief. It can also be used in the treatment of female-type lipodystrophy and in scar therapy, improving tissue mobility and the patient’s quality of life, including in cases where scars impede daily functioning.

Dedicated trolley

The Tecaris+ device is equipped with a dedicated table. It has a useful function of electrode heating with the possibility of temperature regulation. Comprehensive and ergonomic management of the treatment station is possible thanks to the carefully designed trolley structure, which includes:

  • three drawers for storing the device equipment,
  • special electrode and applicator holders facilitate access and increase the dynamics of work,
  • paper towel holder and mounting of the RF therapy cream dispenser improves the comfort of working with the patient,
  • a dedicated container for dirty electrodes helps maintain hygiene at the workstation,
  • the metal side wall of the trolley allows you to attach cable magnets and keep things tidy.

Safety and comfort of use

The Tecaris+ device has a number of features that increase the comfort of the therapist’s work.

The active electrodes are equipped with silicone insulating caps that make it easier to hold the electrode and with an electrode cover that protects the operator from unwanted effects of high-frequency current.

Four types of applicators allow the physiotherapist to adapt the device to individual needs, and magnets placed on their cables help to ensure better organisation of the workstation.

The device allows the operator to select and edit treatment parameters using keys and a knob. In this way, during the treatment, the therapist does not have to touch the screen with hands covered in cream, which could make it difficult to operate the device.

Programs and sequences

A great support for the therapist is the availability of preset treatment sequences. Tecaris+ offers users a database of 101 procedures for selected disease entities along with suggested modes, operating parameters and illustrations. Some of the sequences contain animations that support the therapist in conducting the treatment.  The device also features an anatomical mode that allows you to filter built-in sequences based on the treatment area, making it easier to tailor the therapy to a specific part of the body affected by the disease.

The best therapeutic effects are achieved by combining therapy with the Tecaris+ device and manual therapy, which is described in detail in the treatment encyclopedia.

The device also allows the user to save their own programs (50) and sequences (10).

Operation modes

The device allows the therapist to work in several modes:

  • CAP mode – capacitive mode, which focuses its action mainly on tissues and areas that are highly hydrated, such as muscles or the lymphatic system,
  • RES mode – resistive mode, which affects tissues with high resistance, such as tendons and bones,
  • IASTM mode – resistive mode, in which an applicator in the shape of a special tool is used for the therapy and mobilization of soft tissues,
  • BIPOLAR mode – resistive mode which uses a dedicated applicator that acts mainly on superficial tissues and allows operation without the need for a separate passive electrode,
  • AUTO mode – a mode in which the device actively detects the type of electrode used and directs the current to the applicator, without the need to manually change the operating mode settings in the menu.

TECARIS+

TECAR therapy is a modern method with versatile effects.
It allows the use of radiofrequency currents combined with manual therapy, even in the early stages of rehabilitation.
